The EU announced its decision to impose provisional anti-dumping (AD) duties on hot rolled stainless steels of China, Taiwan and Indonesia on April 9.

However, the EU just mentioned adjusting this tax rate for Taiwanese factories. Initially, the AD tax for Yieh United Steel Corp (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works was 6.2%, but now after the adjustment, the AD tax will be reduced to 6.0%.
If this policy continues, it could bring a positive atmosphere to the two factories because other stainless factories in Taiwan, such as Walsin, are subject to a 7.5% tax.
AD duty on hot rolled stainless steel coils and sheets originating from Tsingshan Indonesia and China are 17% and 17-18% respectively.
